In the early fifties, when the country was just starting to recover from Wold War II, and nothing was availiable, but everything was needed, a resourceful entrepreneur opened a shoe shop in Milan, in Via Belfiore 9: "Calzoleria Belfiore", Belfiore shoe shop, naming it after the street.
His daughter Nadia become the store’s manager, and even thuough very young, she immediately demonstrated her great capabilities, passion, and farsightedness. She combined fashion, quality and good pricing, contributing to the great rise of the Belfiore brand throughout Milan and beyond.
Towards the end of the nineteen-eighties the family business was still live and active, bringing on its tradition thanks to the cooperation of her husband and son. The shop sold only handmade and high quality men’s shoes, applying the same sales policies that made the Befiore brand famous in Italy and in many foreign countries.
